Highlights
THIS... is a 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8, finished in Bathurst Black with a purple exterior wrap and a black and red interior.
- The attached Carfax history report lists no accidents in this Hyundai's past. It also shows that this car has been registered in California, Texas, and North Carolina since it was new.
- Extensively modified, this Coupe is powered by a 5.3-liter "LS" V8 engine reportedly sourced from a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban and bolted to a RPM Transmissions "T56 Level 5" 6-speed manual transmission. Other modifications reported by the seller include a custom-built engine oil pan, 19-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, lowering springs, a carbon fiber hood and trunk lid, Cipher Auto front racing seats with 4-point harnesses, a Vertex quick-release steering wheel, and a Sony XAV-AX5500 touchscreen. More details about the aftermarket parts installed on this car are provided below.
- Service records shown in the gallery detail many of the modifications performed to this Genesis Coupe and most of the maintenance performed since the engine swap was completed. The engine was notably rebuilt in September 2021 with new piston rings and connecting rod bearings, among other parts.
- Hyundai launched the Genesis Coupe for 2009 as a more budget-friendly alternative to the Ford Mustang and the Nissan 370Z. It aimed to woo enthusiasts with rear-wheel-drive, an independent suspension system, and distinctive styling. Base models were powered by a 4-cylinder engine while more expensive variants received a V6 — none offered a factory-fitted V8. Production ended in 2016.
- Power comes from a 5.3-liter V8, rated at 295 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The seller states that the modifications increase horsepower to about 400 at the wheels but a dyno sheet is not available. The engine spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
